BENEFICIARIES

Directly: companies, local authorities, institutions and NGOs from the project region
Indirectly: the population from the project region.

Final beneficiaries:
Directly final beneficiaries are selected from the target group which were described in the upper paragraph.
Indirectly final beneficiaries: the population from the project region, by the point of view of the population’s structure this is mostly Romanian, also because at the north of Tisa river in Ukraine there is an important Romanian population. This area is also included in the project region. Beside Romanians there are also Hungarians and Ukrainians.

directly and indirectly beneficiaries:

The directly final beneficiaries: approx. 300 companies, 15 town halls and local councils, 3 universities and 10 NGOs. Indirectly beneficiaries: approx 100.000 persons

The fundamental objective of the cross-border cooperation in the EU is to integrate the areas separated by national borders, but confronted with common problems to which common solutions must be found. The cross-border cooperation has as a central priority, the growth of the competitiveness level in the border regions; moreover, it contributes to the economic and social integration of the adjoining border areas, as there are significant disparities between them.
