The applicant of the project is The Town Hall of Sighetu Marmatiei which have as partners The Town Hall of Solotvino, The MTMM Association, The CDIMM Baia Mare and The Tisa Association. The project region is polarized on the upper Tisa’s axis, being polarized on the towns of Sighetu Marmatiei in Maramures county (RO) and Tiaciv, Teresva, Solotvino, Veliki Biachiv in Zakarpatia (UA).

The division of the project region into two territorial subsystems with a reduced level of integration due to the borderline allows the outlining of some needs of reestablishment of the territorial balance and the removal of the border regional dysfunctions, through cooperation, communication, coordination and common planning of the economic development, which is, in fact, what the project proposes.
